Typography Project

Andreas Leonidou, a type-graphic-designer from Cyprus, who has a stunning typography portfolio, will be launching a ”Typography Group/Blog/Community”. He invited me to join this group and to participate on a typography-quote project. There will be a quote/theme every 3-4 months and then everybody can do his own thing… it could be video, a poster, sculpture, photography… everything. The first quote is: “Its all about Type!”

I had been thinking about this quote so many months but never really had a convincing idea. When Tina Wehder (Fashion Designer) said she would like to do a project before going back to Berlin. I told her about this project and so we started brainstorming. We decided to do a photo-series, 4 types of persons integrating one word on each person. As Tina and Alex Jesipow (Photographer) are already leaving these days we unfortunately had to simplify our idea by leaving out the clothes and concentrate on the typography in the hair.
